Aim:
Module 1: To improve efficient communications with trainees during the training
To understand and identify children's problems through psychological symptons
Module 2: To build up trainees' communications and training skills in the community
Module 3: To build up organizational capacity for an efficient training course
Objectives of Module 1:
At the end of module 1, trainees should be able to:
- Understand the participants' psychology
- Exchange and create friendly relations with participants
- Enhance support to participants
- Understand the psychology of children in difficult circumstances
- Help participants to identify children's problems
- Find out ways to support and respond to children's needs
Objectives of Module 2:
At the end of module 2, trainees should be able to:
- Apply at least 6 methods of active teaching (or participatory training method)
- Practice active communications skills in order to develop participants' active learning in the training
Objectives of Module 3:
At the end of module 3, trainees should be able to:
- Understand the necessary steps for a training organization
- Assess the training needs, the impact of the training on participants
- Help participants improve their awareness, skills and attitude

Trainers' Biography
- Mr Nguyễn Ngọc Lâm was born in 1947, has begun teaching before 1975. He is also a social worker trained in this period. After 1975 he was a member of a group of social workers making every effort to revive the social work profession through training courses organized for social organizations and universities. Mr Lâm is the author of some textbooks as Manual for Social Workers, Project Management, Play Games in Teaching and Studying, Social Work with Group, Social Work with Children and Family and Communication. He had wide experience in organizing short-term training courses and project evaluation with the active participation of the trainee, collaborated with international and Vietnamese social organizations. He was recognized a pioneer in this effective training method and in the past training courses, he always has left deep impressions on the trainee.
- Ms Nguyễn Thị Bích Hồng is working at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. She is now the Head of Faculty of Psychology and Applied Pedagogy. She usually trains the subject such as "Psychology for Development", "Active Teaching Methods" and "Pedagogical Communication". Besides providing training in universities, she trains for some INGOs such as Handicap International, Room to Read, Action Aid and World Vision on "Psychology for Development" and "Active Teaching Methods". With more than 19 training experience on the topic "Active Teaching Methods", Ms Hồng always creates interesting and lively in the classrooms by using games, group discussions, and role-play. Especially, she is very friendly and closed to her trainees. Therefore, her classes are always successful.
